UNIZIK ADMISSION INTO POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL 2021

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Akwa acronymized as UNIZIK has begin her admission into postgraduate school as the form for the application into first tier schools is now out on sale. This means applicants who are interested in taking the programme can now proceed to get the form.

Applications are available from ultimately qualified candidates for either full time or part-time admission for the 2021/2022 1^st tier academic year. Information on the available Programmes is available on the University website. Visit spgs.unizik.edu.ng

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPLICATION OF ADMISSION INTO UNIZIK POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL

The following sets of candidates may apply into UNIZIK postgraduate programmes:

• Graduates from recognized and approved universities and as well hold a first degree classification with a minimum CGPA of 1.51 on a scale of 5 points.
• ·         Candidates from recognized and approved polytechnics or Monotechnics and holds a Higher National Diploma certificate with a minimum of lower credit.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPLICATION OF ADMISSION INTO UNIZIK MASTERS DEGREE

The following candidates may apply for UNIZIK masters degree program:

·         Graduates with a minimum of 2.50 CGPA on a 5 point scale or a minimum of 45% for universities that doesn’t use CGPA on the appropriate degree in the desired and proposed field of study.

·         Graduates of recognized institutions with a FCGPA of 3.50 and above.

REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIZIK POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES 2021/2022

Candidates applying for any of the first tier programme must possess a minimum of 5 credits including English Language and any other four relevant subject at either one or two sittings from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB.

Applicants are advised to get every needed information on departmental requirements on the school website.

MODE OF APPLICATION

The method of application into 2021/2022 UNIZIK postgraduate programmes is ONLINE by logging into myedu.unizik.edu.ng

STEP 1: Click on postgraduate school and generate Application form invoice

STEP 2: Fill the invoice generation form and click on Generate invoice

Step 3: After generating the invoice, proceed to the bank to make payment OR pay with card. (that is to purchase the form with your debit card).

STEP 4: Obtain your RRR and then visit the portal myedu.unizik.edu.ng to complete the Application form.

STEP 5: Download and print your Acknowledgement form and transcript request form.

NOTE: Applicants are to ensure that the names, phone number and e-mail addresses of three Referees are correctly filled.

Also note that two of the Referees must be Academics not lower than the senior lecturer rank.

PhD applicants in submitting their forms shall upload a proposal of not more than five type-written pages that should include:

• ·         Name of Applicant
• ·         Proposed Department and faculty
• ·         Topic (not more than 18 words)
• ·         Brief background of the study
• ·         Aim and objectives/purpose
• ·         Methodology
• ·         Expected Outcomes
• ·         References

UNIZIK APPLICATION FOR 2021/2022 POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME SALE OF FORM BEGINS ON THE 16^TH OF JULY 2021 AND WILL END ON THE 31^ST OF DECEMBER 2021 WHILE THE SUBMISSION OF FORM ENDS ON THE 7^TH OF JANUARY 2022.

Transcripts should be forwarded to the secretary of the postgraduate school not later than 14^th of January 2022.

Applicants will be invited for screening test (VIRTUAL) from 10^th-14^th January 2022 and proposal defense (PhD only ) on 10^th January, 2022

Applicants are to comply with the above conditions and all admission offered are provisional. This means the school of post graduate studies reserves the right to offer, confirm or deny admission.
