About Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE).
The Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) in Delta State, Nigeria, was founded and approved by the Federal Executive Council on March 14, 2007, and it began accepting undergraduate students in 2008. [requires citation]

The National Universities Commission (NUC) permitted the Petroleum Training Institute Effurun and the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun to share facilities until the latter moved to its permanent site in Ugbomro, Uvwie Local Government Area, in 2010.
