## How WAEC Further Maths will be set

Read the following and see the structure or how your exam will be set and what is expected of you.

There will be two papers, Papers 1 and 2, that must both be completed.

PAPER 1: This paper will contain forty multiple-choice objective questions that will cover the whole course. Candidates will have one hour to answer all questions for a total of 40 points. The following areas of the curriculum will be used to generate the questions:

30 questions on pure mathematics

4 questions about statistics and probability

6 questions on vectors and mechanics

PAPER 2: There will be two portions, Sections A and B, that must be completed in two hours for a total of 100 points.

## How do I pass WAEC further Mathematics examination

When it comes to exams, general mathematics and further Maths take on a distinct shape. As a result, I will provide you with a variety of strategies to help you pass your exam.

### 1. Solve mathematical problems on a daily basis

There’s a common saying that goes, “When you leave mathematics, mathematics will leave you.” The saying is common but makes a complete sense and at the same time true. Make it a point to solve at least one mathematical issue every day in order to become familiar with it.

However, you might not have what it takes to tackle arithmetic problems on a regular basis. Make it a point to solve at least twice or three times per week. Give yourself at least 1 hour 30 minutes to answer each question, and you will notice that you are doing well.

### 2. Download and study the WAEC further Maths Syllabus for 2022

The syllabus lists all of the topics that must be read in order to pass an exam. It highlights the areas where you should focus so that you don’t have to study the entire textbook to pass.

Also note that your questions will come from those topics in the syllable. All you have to do is to cover them.
