Correct WAEC Biology Specimen 2022
Group I: (For all candidates)
Specimen A – Clayey Soil
Specimen B – A Solution of one part of egg albumen mixed with two parts of water in a test tube/beaker
Specimen C – Mushroom (freshly plucked).
Specimen D – Giant land snail
Specimen E – Transverse section of ripe paw paw fruit
Specimen F – Transverse section of ripe tomato fruit
Specimen G – Fresh pod of cowpea plant
Specimen H – complete, green pod of pride of Barbados plant
Specimen J – Fresh okro fruit.
Group II: (For all candidates)
Specimen K – Adult cockroach (dead)
Specimen L– Nymph of cockroach (dead)
Specimen M – Egg case of cockroach/ootheca
Specimen N – Moss plant in a petri dish
Group III: (For candidates in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia)
Specimen P – Potassium permanganate solution.
Specimen Q– Granulated sugar (100g) in a beaker
Specimen R – 5 – day old boiled egg with shell intact stored in a warm place/rotten egg with shell intact.
Specimen S – 10ml of lime/lemon juice in a test tube.
N:B (i) All specimen can be provided as group specimen for five (5) to ten (10) candidates;
(ii) All specimens in each group must carry individual labels (e.g A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H and J in group 1)
(b) It is essential that each candidates should be provided with the following materials;
(i) glass jar cover/petri dish;
(iv) hand lens/magnifying lens;
(v) scapel/blunt knife
(vi) iodine solution
(vii) sodium hydroxide solution;
(viii) copper (ii) tetraoxosulphate (vi) solution;
(ix) tea spoon;
(x) stop clock/wach
(xiii) ink pad containing ink moderately
(xiv) white paper/tissue paper
(xv) white tile.
